On Thomas Road just west of Pima Road a desert landscaped yard with some unique features.

Crowded among the cacti and desert shrubs is a collection of 56 giant political signs that attract the attention of many motorists passing by.

On closer inspection, the 56 signs turn out to be campaign signs for all those candidates who have lost a presidential election.

Titled 'Monument To The Unelected', the yard full of signs is an art installation by New York artist Nina Katchadourian, and part of the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art's current exhibition 'Seriously Funny.'

The exhibition, organized for the museums 10th anniversary brings together ten artists who use humor in their creations.

The exhibit includes several types of media, including performance, and has included talks by some of the artists in the show.

The exhibit opened on February 14 and was scheduled to end on May 24, however, the exhibit has been held over until July 5.

Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art is located at 7374 E. 2nd St.

Cost: $7 for adults, $5 for students, children under 15 free.

Admission free on Thursdays. The museum is closed on Mondays.
