It's officially midnight, which means that May 22nd has finally arrived. I don't think I ever thought this day would come and now that it is here I almost don't believe it myself.
See, I leave later today for six weeks. I will be in London interning and taking classes with ASU Study Abroad. Everyone I talk to asks me, "Are you excited?" You would think that I couldn't wait to get over there. But honestly, my reply to the question is usually a shrug or a yah. Don't get me wrong. I am excited about this opportunity I just don't think it has fully hit me yet.
My luggage is packed, was packed two days early, and now all I can do is wait until I have to be at the airport. I feel like I am prepared for everything, which is weird because usually I am frantic before this long of a trip.
I will arrive in London about 1:30 p.m. and from then on I will be living as a sojourner. I will find out more about my internship placement and I actually will have my first day Tuesday.
This is going to be an incredible experience, living in London, interning in Fashion and visiting Paris for a weekend! Give it a couple hours, I'm sure by take off I will hear London Calling.
